The Central Arkansas Local Section of the American Chemical Society (ACS) is sponsoring an art competition for students in Kindergarten through 12th grades to celebrate Chemists Celebrate Earth Week the theme of which is "Protecting Our Planet Through Chemistry". The art can be a sculpture, canvas art, or drawing and must represent the theme. 

 

1st, 2nd, and Honorable Mention prizes will be awarded by the local section in K-6th, 7th-9th, 10th-12th. Entries will be judged on: artistic merit, originality, creativity, and neatness. 

 

Contest Deadline: April 7, 2020

Submissions must be received by the local section by 4:30 pm on April 7, 2020. The section will require that finalists' art be mailed to Dr. Faith Yarberry at 201 Donaghey Ave, Laney-Manion 205, Conway, AR 72035.
